The Pacific International Hotel Management School has recently hosted two groups from Asia. The first was a group of hoteliers from Vietnam and the second a group of tertiary students from Taiwan.
最近新西兰太平洋国际酒店管理学院（PIHMS）招待了来自亚洲的两批客人。第一批是来自越南的酒店管理者，第二批是来自台湾高校的学生。
Nineteen Vietnamese hoteliers from 4 and 5 star hotels in Hanoi visited PIHMS to undertake professional development on how to operate within a Westernised organisastion in their own country. As more international hotel chains open properties in Vietnam, local staff are being required to adapt to Western style management systems.
来自河内的19名越南籍4-5星级酒店的管理者访问了PIHMS。他们来学习如何将西化的组织机构设置应用于国内，从而实现行业的专业化发展。由于越来越多的国际连锁酒店在越南建成，当地的员工就被要求要适应西式的管理模式。
The hoteliers visiting PIHMS were mainly Deputy General Managers and Heads of Divisions in hotels such as Intercontinental, Sofitel and Mercure. Their 5 day programme of study at PIHMS included seminars on Event Management, Finance Management in the Hotel Environment, Business Communication, Human Resource Management, and Improved Management Skills in the Hotel Environment.
参 观PIHMS的酒店管理者多数是副总经理和酒店的部门经理，其中包括著名的洲际酒店（Intercontinental），索菲特（Sofitel）和美 居（Mercure）等酒店。他们在PIHMS的课程包括：活动管理的峰会，酒店环境下的财务管理，商业交流人力资源管理和和酒店环境下的改善管理技术。
Te programme at PIHMS was organised by the Hanoi Travel and Tourism Corporation which is a government body. PIHMS has now signed an MOU to develop this relationship over next 5 years so the school expects to host more groups like this along with others made up of middle level management and also front line staff.
访客来PIHMS学习的课程是由政府组办的河内旅游公司安排的。新西兰太平洋国际酒店管理学院（PIHMS）已经签署了MOU，从而在未来5年继续发展这种交流。所以学校还会迎接更多这种团体以及一些由中层和一线教师组成的访问团。
PIHMS attracts a number of Vietnamese students each year to its Diploma in Hotel Management and several students have completed 6 month industry placements in hotels in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
PIHMS每年都会吸引一些越南学生来学习酒店管理文凭。几个学生已经完成了在河内（Hanoi）和胡志明市（Ho Chi Minh）6个月的行业实习。
Meanwhile, the group visiting the school from Taiwan was made up of 15 Food & Beverage and Travel and Tourism students and a teacher from the Technology and Science Institute of Northern Taiwan in Taipei. The students undertook an intensive one week course in English language and Barista skills. They also had the opportunity to do sightseeing in Taranaki, Waitomo Caves and Auckland.
与 此同时，参观学院的台湾团是由15个餐饮和旅游专业的学生以及一名来自台北的台北科技学院的教师组成的。学生听了一周的英语语言强化课程和西雅图技术的课 程。他们也有机会参观塔拉那基（Taranaki）怀托摩萤火虫洞（Waitomo Caves）和奥克兰（Auckland）。
PIHMS hopes that some of these students may choose to return to the school in the future to undertake the Diploma, Degree or Postgraduate programmes.
新西兰太平洋国际酒店管理学院（PIHMS）希望将来它的学生能重返学校就读国际文凭，本科学位或研究生课程。
